The team that makes our magic work is growing: will you be a part of it?
About us
Fidesmo is a leading technology company based in Stockholm with a research and development center in Madrid. We are building a platform to distribute contactless services to any device having a secure chip: in other words, we want that any watch, bracelet, ring, piece of clothing or even subcutaneous implant (yes, you read right) can be used to pay for a purchase, hop on the train, get inside an office building or rent a car. Our most successful service is Fidesmo Pay, launched together with Visa, Mastercard, banks and a select group of manufacturers of wearable devices: for example, we are the ones powering Swatch Pay and the payments solution in Honor latest smartwatches.
This requires writing code that runs on a chip with only a few kilobytes of RAM, or very scalable server code, or clients for the main environments (iOS, Android, web and also command line). By building our own product we are free from the typical pressure coming from contract development: we program with quality following our own rules.
Role description
You will be part of the backend team, building the services that connect to payment networks, public transportation authorities, etc, and also to secure chips on devices. You will learn how to implement cryptography right and manage keys securely in a highly concurrent environment. You will participate in the continuous integration and devops processes.
We follow an Agile methodology for software development; you will participate in design and implementation decisions and contribute to planning and code reviews.
We expect that you will learn alongside more experienced developers, until you take ownership of one or more subsystems, and also participate in other projects and libraries. We welcome developers who are willing to experiment with new technologies, prototype and use what works best. Fidesmo will train you in the specific programming languages, cryptography and other domain knowledge necessary for the job.
