Fidesmo is now fully integrated into the new Samtrafiken standard for Swedish public transport ticketing (also known as BoB). The role of the tech company in the BoB- ecosystem is to make it possible to integrate bearers provided by third parties in a secure, user friendly and quality proven way. Thanks to the integration, all bearers that connect with Fidesmo can be part of a ticketing system based on the BoB-standard. This means that each Swedish PTO, through a smaller integration, can make it possible for their travellers to use other ID-bearers than local cards when travelling.
Samtrafiken and Fidesmo have entered a cooperation agreement until the end of June 2020 to test this third-party solution. All PTOs are free to join the project.

The technology used will be based on the latest specification for ID-based travel according to the industry’s Ticket and Payment Standard, BoB.

Fidesmo-enabled products which can also be used as bearers in the BoB ecosystem include watches from Ur&Penn, TRIWA and Berg Watches, along with cards for different access control systems.
