Fidesmo Pay is the contactless payment service enabling you to securely tap and pay with a variety of wearables.

When connecting your payment card with Fidesmo Pay, a reference to your card is stored in the wearable. This reference is called a token, which means that your real card number is never used when making a payment.

Tap your wearable against any contactless terminal in-store, just the way you tap your card or phone.

How does it work?

Find your favorite wearable brand on fidesmo.com/wearables and go to the brand’s website. Pick your favorite product, place the order and connect your payment card to the wearable with Fidesmo Pay in the checkout process (your wearable can not be used for payments until you receive and activate it, so no worries!). The wearable is packaged and shipped home to you. Inside the packaging you will find an activation note with a QR code. Scan the QR code with your phone and follow the instructions to activate payments on your wearable. The activation process can vary depending on the bank. When the activation is done, your wearable is ready to make contactless payments!

Are wearable payments with Fidesmo Pay secure?

Yes. When you connect a payment card to your wearable with Fidesmo Pay, a reference of the card is created, a reference with a different card number, this is called a token. This card number can only be used on your wearable – not online or anywhere else – which means that your wearable is protected against skimming and even if the card number would leak on the internet (e.g. if there would be a data leak from one of the stores where you have made a payment) it cannot be used anywhere else. The card number on the wearable is also cryptographically connected to that certain wearable, and the card number can not be added to any other physical wearable that you can pay with. To summarise, wearable payments with Fidesmo Pay are very secure, even more secure than paying with a physical payment card, where that card number can be used both when paying in-store as well as online.

Can I pay with Fidesmo Pay in any country?

Yes, as long as the terminal supports contactless payments. Just like you can tap and pay with your payment card at any contactless terminal around the world, you can tap and pay with your wearable.
